It used to be a useful trading bridge connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe. This was where caravans transporting items for sales passed by to distribute the goods to the other cities and even continents.

Jezreel Valley used to be a swamp-filled place. After being drained of water in 1911, its soil proved to be fertile thus its name which means “God will sow.” It is now the country’s main source of wheat, sunflowers, cotton, and fish ponds.

It has the Tel Megiddo park, and other parks with mosaics, like Beit Alfa, Circassian village, and Tzippori. Its museums are in Kfar kama, Kibbutz en Dor, and in Kfar Tabor.

Educational entertainment places like the Moshav Shadmot Dvora can also be found in the valley. Hikers can enjoy the Bible Trail of Mount Gilboa. There are lodgings which provide bed-and-breakfast accommodations in the rural areas. All these sceneries and places make Jezreel Valley a top tourist spot in Israel.

This is also called the Sea of Galilee. This is the largest source of freshwater and of drinking water as well. The higher its level gets, the happier the Israelis are.

Kineret’s beaches allow guests to camp out on the shores itself. There are also various water activities and games that can be done, like canoes and slides at water parks. After enjoying the sea, restaurants are abounding where hungry swimmers can eat.

It now serves as a popular site visited by Christians on pilgrimage. This was said to be where Jesus did the miracle of the fishes and the loaves of bread, in Kraf Nakhum (Capernaum). The area is surrounded with more holy Christian and historic sites.

This is a reclaimed land after people drained the water out of the Hula Lake and the swamps around it in the 1950s. The land was transformed into an agricultural one. What is left of the area was turned into a reserve for the fauna and flora and other indigenous birds as well which are on the course of immigrating. Documentaries were made out of the Hula Lake, as it was before the transformation.

When the transformed land was again flooded, it was left as it was and was made into the Agmon Hahula, home to different species of migrating birds, both native and foreign. You can go near the site to look at birds. You can use the telescopes to see them from a distance so they will not be disturbed.

Informative tours are conducted for the avid bird watchers.

The valley is surrounded by a couple of bodies of water, like the Ein Tina Springs, and the Jakhula. Rivers such as Jordan, Dan, Hermon, and Snir also surround it. Due to these, more nature reserves were developed. National parks, like Hurshat Tal, are available as well.

Ancients farm dwellings like moshavim and kibbutzim are in the Hula Valley too. It also has Kiryat Shmona as its city. Lodgings are of a plenty as well. Art and entertainment centers are also around. There is the Tel Hai Photography Museum and the Tel Hai Compound to host entertainment for the children.

Lower Galilee’s is Mt. Kamon which rises at 602 meters from sea level.

This has a dense population due to the fertile soil and easy irrigation options of the valley.

It has nature’s numerous breathtaking works, like the reserves, water sources, and archaeological sites. It is approximately the size of Texas, thus the nickname “Israeli Texas.”

After reaching the summit of the peaks of the Golan Heights, you will be met with an expanse of bodies of water like the Jordan Valley, Yarmuk River, and Lake Kineret. All around it are volcanic, small hills.

If you want to ride on the backs of cattle and horses and pretend to be a cowboy, you can do so. you can even tour around orchards and look at how fruits are grown and harvested.

The heights is also a strategic location for bird watchers too. There are birds’ nests in Gamla and in the nature reserves. Archaeologically, it is the site for various groups of ancient people, like those from the Chalcolithic Era, a site for burial grounds, and a Byzantine church.

Wildlife reserves are also established here in the Golan Heights. There is the deer reserve of Odem Forest and the Rujum al-Hiri which was believed to be a site for an observatory or a burial ground.

There are many lodgings available in the Golan Heights. While you do your tours in sites, you can also visit nature reserves, dine at fine restaurants while drinking world-class Israeli wine and eating uniquely Israeli foods.

Although Israel is considered as a Biblical place, having been repeatedly referred to in the Bible, and thus, obviously an old city, it has woke up perfectly and also took in to bring business into the country. It was not left behind in terms of business. Despite retaining the hard evidences of its rich historic past, like the buildings, old cities and villages, it has allowed the foreign, western influences to affect the people and the culture as well. To prove that it is catching up, it is a force to be reckoned with in many aspects of business and industry management. The ability to speak English also aids Israel to easily facilitate business dealings with foreigners. Business people would be likely attracted to conduct business in the country because the services are world-class, comfortable to use, and easily availed of.

Due to innovation among Israelis, the country can be expected to surge further forward. Since most Israeli businesses, even the seemingly small ones are conducting international trading, it will not be long before Israel will have a fully internationalized trading practice and become an international trading community.

As per the technological improvements in the country, it has hosted exhibitions in order to showcase inventions by Israelis and non-Israelis alike. As foreigners keep coming in with the purpose of doing business, they would also likely be great turnouts for the tourism of Israel.

In Israel, the investments that it has coming are also poured back by the country into investments outside Israel. When it used to be a destination for business tourism, it has now become a significant business hub where some business starts before going international. By being a constant destination of businesses, the country’s business handling was put to practice and has now climbed to top ranks in international standards.

To accommodate the incoming business visitors, hotels and other social venues are set at their best. Events halls, exhibition halls, convention centers, and other multimedia facilities and abilities are used to impress these visitors. To encourage these guests to go around the country, they are presented with the most advanced and highly functional communication gadgets and transportation.

As evident in the presence of televisions with cable access in the hotel rooms, Israelis have noses for international news. IsraelTV, one local news channel, can broadcast using the English language. There are also daily papers, like the Post, which are printed in English, but they are not in the newstand every Saturday. Tel Aviv’s paper, the International Herald Tribune, also prints an English version of the Haaretz.

PHONE COMMUNICATION

Israel can call and be called internationally through its telephone service. Its country code is 972. For international calls, dial +972 then the next eight more digits.

Mobile phones

Most Israelis have phones which makes the country gross the highest number of phones owned by a country’s population. As long as you have an international number and you have activated it on Israel’s grounds, you can once again regain your connection to the real world. There are also mobile phones that are for rent someplace else in the country.

Public phones

Unlike payphones in other countries which will only eat up coins so you can call wherever you want, Israel’s public phones require you to purchase a “Telecart” to use them. These magnetic cards can be bought at newsstands, post offices, supermarkets, or in the front desk of the hotel.
COMMUNICATION BY INTERNET

Aside from owning the most number of mobile phones, Israel also claims to own the most number of personal computers worldwide. It is a given that hotels are WiFi zones, allowing guests Internet access. This is also important for business dealings which they cannot handle personally. There are more internet shops or cafes where anyone can rent a PC with Internet access for hours. For the convenience of laptop users, dual voltage is used and when combined with a converter, the laptop is ready for plug-in.

COMMUNICATION BY LETTER

Post offices are still present in Israel. You can mail your letters and packages here. Stamps for mailing can be bought in the post offices but there are also ones for sale in the front desk of your hotels.

COMFORTABLE TRAVEL FOR HANDICAPED

Israel is greatly concerned with the way people with disabilities travel. This is why it has invested in facilities that can help them travel more comfortably around Israel. There are tourist spots which are remodelled to suit their needs

Accessibility in tourist spots is the center of the developed projects of the Israel Government Tourist Corporation of the Ministry of Tourism.

Handicapped travellers are encouraged to come to Israel.

One tourist spot that was reconstructed to accommodate wheelchairs is the Massada fortress. It was developed to give the visually disabled visitors a chance to touch their way around to make them feel the surroundings more.

Milbat’s Israel Center for Technology and Accessibility of the Sheba Medical Center can be contracted to do just the right remodelling to certain places to make these places handicap-friendly.

Yad Sarah is also a group that allows disabled travellers to borrow wheelchairs, and other physical aids for free.

Israel’s efforts to expose everybody to the touch of art become more evident in the different festivals that are celebrated in one place to another and in local shows the whole year round. These are festivals that do not only focus on the visibly joyous aspect of festivities but also on the artistic expression of the people. There are those focused on stringed-instruments, films, kid’s theatre, food and drinks, and advocacy of citizen’s rights.

Israeli Festival
This is the top festival of the country which is full of cultural creativities like music, theatre, and dance. This is held for two months in Jerusalem every year, in May and in June.

Karmiel Dance Festival
This showcases dances, particularly folk dancing with the celebrating people. This is a festivity occurring every July at Karmiel in the northern part of Israel.

Acre (Ako) Alternative Theater Festival
The Sukkot holiday is celebrated and highlighted by the performances of alternative theatre in Acre city. By alternative theatre, it means instead of holding the performances within a theatre house, they are instead held some other place indoors. There are also companies who opt to perform outdoors, on the street.

Eilat International Jazz Festival
This is a festivity celebrated in Eilat unfailingly every August, on its last week. Different jazz musicians who are considered top ones in the world are invited to perform during the festivity, particularly in Eilat’s southern resort.

Tel Aviv Performing Center’s (TAPAC) Israeli Opera

The center has been serving host to different entertainment shows held in its numerous auditoriums. It has had dances, jazz concerts, classical music, back stage passes and tours, children shows, and art exhibits, even the Israeli Opera show. The Israeli Opera is well-respected worldwide because of its past productions.

Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center boasts of highly technological pieces of equipment to further aid in letting out the beauty and the talents of the actors and actresses. Aside from the artistic performances coming from the artists housed in the center, other artists also worked on the structure itself to make a beautiful facade and style. These were the late Yaacov Rechter, the architect, and Ron Arad, another architect who made the foyer. The center truly tries to fit into the cultural scene of Tel Aviv.

The opera is also ranked in the upper scale in rating its performance. Having garnered such a reputation, it was able to earn the right to serve as host to the performances of the top theatre people, like the singers, directors, conductors, and designers. In order to form an agreement regarding the performances delivered by the opera, it also co-produces its shows in cooperation with the top opera houses in the world.

Having been in existent for 23 years, the opera is not only set to entertain the people but also to make non-paying customers, like those in an the outreach who would not have likely afforded to pay for the fee of your show, witness this rare opportunity to see the other face of life expressed through the opera. This will be to encapsulate the enthusiastic minds of more and more audiences around the world.
